      Sorry to ask,
cedar branding not as good as MGS, SCGS, SNG , why is that so?

      1)

      Cedar primary is co-ed,
not an All Girls' primary school, unlike (MGS, SCGS, SNGS)

      2)

Cedar primary is Not a Full school, unlike the 3 Girls' schools.

Full schools are popular, in demand, because

students can study inside the Full schools for 10 years straight in a row under Affliation, from (P1 to P6) six years, followed by another 4 years from (S1 to S4)

      Another added advantage :
under Phase 2A1 and 2A2, future daughter (off spring) can come back to study in the 3 girls' primary schools. But not so, for Cedar Girls sec.

      3)

No affliation, between Cedar primary to her Secondary, unlike those 3 schools.

      4) lack of Affliation,
for Cedar OP girls to Junior College

Cedar OP girls are Not Affliated to any JC.

only Cedar IP girls are Affliated to VJC, provided u are inside the IP programme.

      at least,
MGS OP Girls are Affliated to ACJC
St Nick OP Girls are Affliated to CJC

Oh woah , which mean going to cedar must study very hard in order to go to good JC as there is no affliction benefit.

Also, why Cedar , drop 1 point?
It produces gd results, seems results not everything people look at now..
      Branding of a school, isnt?

Results have never been everything, everyone looks at.
Results may be everything, some people look at.
Results may be one of the things, everyone looks at.
But it has never been everything, everyone looks at.
COP go up and down, a little bit of variation should be ok.

Anyway for Cedar, their non official feeder schools in the area, could have done better this year, and chose to go to other schools. Or these non official feeder schools, could have done worse, so they ended up in some other schools.

Other than results as the reason.
Amongst Cedar,MGS,SCGS,SNG sec OP, all churn out great results esp Cedar.
      People didnt opt Cedar:
      - branding
      - its not a Full School unlike the 3 Girls' schs
(can enrol own daughters back in Pri level)[/quote]
Sorry to ask, cedar branding not as good as MGS, SCGS, SNG , why is that so?

For appeal , tomorrow can submit ??

How long will it take to process the appeal? I read the moe website, they said they will process in Jan n the child will continue to attend the posted sch. Does that mean that need to buy books n posted sec sch uniforms too???

Friday tomorrow action day (20 dec),

can call up the school early 8.30 am, ask what's their school COP

6+ am to 8+ am, time frame,
Sms (moe) will be sent out, by batches

      (DSA students, are excused)

Do we have to go the sch personally for appeal ?

Yes, appeal will end by end of 2020 January, or earlier, depend on the individual school's processing rate for Appeal. If they finish processing faster, u will be notified earlier

Meanwhile, no need to buy Sec 1 textbook yet, and continue to wear your primary school uniform to your posted Sec school.

Alternately, u can borrow a set of Sec school uniform from the General office (posted school) to wear in the interim temporary period, as some GO do have some extra set of uniform, donated by past students studied in that school. After Appeal outcome verdict is out, wash the set of uniform borrowed, iron and return to GO,

      because

if u keep wearing your ex primary school uniform to the posted Sec school in 2020 Term. 1, u stand out amongst the crowd, and people curious will kaypoh, ask u why u don't wear the Sec school uniform ? Then, your fellow Sec 1 classmates and Form Tr can guess that u are in the midst of appeal (Transfer) to another school

Inside the Sec 1 Booklist, if there are certain textbooks that are common in both your posted school vs. Your appeal school, can buy them.
      Eg
Maybe sec 1 Chinese textbook (work book) are common, or Maths textbook (work book) are same title used in both schools, ah, can buy

But if Sec 1 Eng Literature books are different, since different Sec schools use different lit books, then don't buy yet, until receive Appeal verdict
