Superb:
Need advice on the ranking of CCA choices. How does putting a Waitlist CCA ahead of a confirmed offer affect the confirmed offer received. Will we lose the offer if we place it as second choice.

Don't worry, you won't! Since you have already gotten the confirmed offer, you will definitely not lose it. Putting a waitlist CCA ahead is just to try and get the waitlist CCA. But if you don't get in, you will get into the confirmed offer CCA.

Hi.. can anyone advise on CCA.

Understand uniform group is compulsory as part of the CCA trials .
Assume an offer is given to student on uniform group which she has no interest in it, can she appeal for others? Thanks.
I don't think so. You can only appeal after the CCA allocation results are out and if you don't get any of your 6 choices. šŸ˜“

For the guitar CCA, I have some questions:

1. How many times per week?
2. Which days in a week?
3. Do they need to bring guitar for every session? Or they can put it in school?
Thank you!
:thankyou:
I have a few questions regarding Year 3 OBS next year. Would really appreciate if parents or seniors could help to answer.

1. Do they need lunch boxes?
2. Is backpack or luggage suitable?
3. Where can we get solid fuel from?
4. For cotton twine, will they be using the thinner or thicker one (number 1 or no. 5)?
5. Do they need sleeping bag?
Thanks in advance! šŸ™‚

1. Nope, not at all. But cutlery yes!--you cook your own dinner
2. Either one is fine, reason being that you will be repacking whatever you brought to OBS into the OBS backpacks.
3. Try army shops. Don't get the ones in like tins, get the white blocks.
4. Actually you won't even be using it... try grade 3 or 4 if you want though!
5. They said it's not compulsory but actually everyone brings it. Up to you i guess? šŸ™‚

Feel free to ask anymore questions/tips! šŸ™‚

To add on:
2. Try to use a backpack and not have too many extra bits and pieces which fill up the hands. There is some walking and climbing on and off buses. My daughter used a backpack and then had to help others who were pulling or carrying too many additional bags.
3. We got the solid fuel at one of the 'sells everything' HDB shops. She didn't actually use any as they didn't need many, and every girl brought a box! We gave ours away to a friend from another school who was going to OBS later (not sure if she used it!).
5. The sleeping bag was left behind in the store as they had so much to carry. It may be better to carry a light, multipurpose sheet for sleeping on or under.
Choco05 and slmkhoo,
You are very helpful!
:thankyou:

I got the solid fuel from Fairprice Extra at Nex (Camping department). $2 for a pack of 8 tabs.

thanks a lot!

My dd is y1. How to book the ICT Enrichment class through iNet? We could not find the link. Can anyone help please? TIA šŸ˜„

The link can be found in your dd's email from the ICT dept dated 4th or 8th of Jan. Anyway, the closing date was last Wed and if you did not apply, they will assign you slots instead. They will inform you just 1 day before you have to attend. Pray your dd will not have activity that clashes with the assigned slot.

Thank u very much, osim!
