      Hi Blur Baby,

      Hi, can share with me how did you manage to join SC in P4?

      Thanks.
      Hi. I applied for the entrance test which consisted of 3 subjects followed by a panel interview. 🙂

      Thank You Nebbermind:) SC is definitely my top choice. However, based on my results, my parents would like me to consider going to Raffles or Nanyang.

      Hi Tanlines. I am in SCGS and currently a Primary Six Student who just finished my PSLE. As I had only joined SC in Primary 4, I thought that it would be harder for me to make friends as the girls have already met 3 years before. However, I had to beg to differ as my classmates, and schoolmates even, welcomed me with open arms. Over the course of 3 years, I have bonded so close to each and everyone of them.

      No, they do not require branded gifts as their birthday presents. All they need is a gift that comes sincerely from the heart and as the saying goes,’ it’s the thought that counts’. As for point no. 2) I cannot agree as that happened to be Rui En’s batch of class/school mates. And do not judge the whole school because of the doings of some girls, no offense.

      To me, I find that SCGS is like a second family where you can count on everyone. Although I do not know what it’s like in SC SEC, I can assure you that most girls in SC Pri would continue their studies in SC SEC. Hence, I feel that going to SC SEC is a good choice and I hope that your daughter would be in her preferred choice of school by next year.

      P.S. I am not trying to persuade you to send your daughter to SC, but I hope you consider what I’ve just said and may it help in choosing the perfect sec school for your daughter:)

      Thank You.

      Aaron painted 12 similar walls in 7 hours while Benedict painted 9 such walls in 5 hours. How many hours did they take to paint 246 walls together?

      Hi, this is what I think:

      First, find the no of coins each girl has.
      31-3-10=18
      18/3=6
      No of coins Amy received---->6 (6x$0.20=$1.20)
      No of coins Brenda received----->6+3=9
      No of coins Carrie received----->6+10=16
      Amy's 3 coins-->$0.90
      Carrie's 7 coins---->$2.60--->four $0.50 coins & three $0.20 coins
      $12.20 - $1.20 - $0.90 - $2.60=$7.50
      31-6-3-7=15 coins
      15 coins--->$7.50
      1 coin---->$

      :thankyou: :rahrah: Really very helpful!

      Hi, may I know why is it 31-3-10 instead of 31-3-7? Thank you.

      Hi Illusduca, thank you very much for helping, but I don't understand the equation 10u-100=9u+228

      Can you please explain? Thank you.

      +++

      Dear Blur Baby,

      Cause the remaining 10 units of men which has 100 more men than the remaining women (9u +228), so have to use (10 unit - 100) to form an equation.

      Oh yeah, I got it. Thank you so much!

      There are 380 more women than men at a carnival in the morning. At noon, 1/3 of the men and 2/5 of the women left the carnival. As a result, there were 100 more men than women who remained at the carnival. How many women were there at the carnival at first?

      Hello Blur Baby,

      Here's a video to show a model/fraction approach to this question:
