Actually, I cannot understand why some employers would, on the one hand felt that their maids should be transferred to another employer; but on the other hand, and almost concurrently, ask forumers to blacklist this person. The deal is that if the maid is not transferred within 21 days, the employer still need to bear the consequence of losing the deposit as well as cost of repatriation.
Also, I feel that it is a social responsibility of us employers, and most of us here being parents when it comes to making a decision to either transfer a maid, or repatriate her. The former means she is worthy of a second chance, the latter means she is probably beyond help, and in worse case scenario, could even pose a danger to the new household!
Indeed, it could be a very expensive decision - which is why I do not agree with the current regulations! But then again, it would be so shitty if one day, should we end up as that unsuspecting employer, right?
"All this while, we were praying for her to be send back if no prospective employer is keen on her. We were actually informed that the dateline is 1 month for a transfer maid to wait for the next potential employer, if not takers after 1 month, then Indo embassy will then allow their people to be sent home. Else, they have a waiting period of 1 month. "
We dont think she deserves a 2nd chance but we didnt know what else could be done to send her home. Could only pray that she wont get re-employed.
