For the 30months rule, is it fine if child goes to the declared address after school on weekdays but parents bring child home at the end of the day and on weekends? There is no need for child to be residing there 24hours from Monday - Friday?

Also if grandparent is sort-of self/ part-time/ flexi-time employed, is it considered eligible?

Want to ask if it is really recommended for kids to learn hanyu pinyin before entering Primary 1? Understand that MOE kindergartens and PCF now no longer teach hanyu pinyin at kindergarten level. Their FAQ also says that that will be taught when they start P1 formally.

以我多年的教学经验，个人认为，小孩学习汉语拼音的黄金时间是在K2。
这时候的孩子英文能力基本上已经能掌握，能够分辨得出英文字母和汉语拼音之间的不同。比方说，他们能分辨得出英语的a 和 韵母的a 有着不同的发音。
若孩子年纪太小就接触汉语拼音，很容易和英文字母混淆，学起来事倍功半。
若等到小一才学，除非吸收能力超强，否则很容易输在起跑点，只能拼命地追上已经熟能生巧的同学，学起来格外吃力。
我有几个学生，由于之前没有掌握好汉语拼音，以致到了小三写作文时，跌跌撞撞，碰到不会写的字时，即使手上有电子词典也无用武之地。

谢谢您的分享！ 我担心的就是是否会跟英文混淆且小一老师教汉语拼音时因为之前已学过而没有兴趣/不专心。不过，若在小一老师教时跟不上而失去信心也不是件好事。

I am considering enrolling my daughter at Amazing Star Montessori at Greenridge. Any feedback on the curriculum and place? We visited and it looks better than expected from the outside, my daughter also enjoyed roaming about as it is very spacious. However when I enquired, only the teachers that are teaching the montessori segments are trained in Montessori teaching by the head teacher. Only the head teacher/ principal is montessori-certified.

Any idea if this is the norm in other montessori schools? Would appreciate any feedback and reviews of the teachers at this school. Is turnover high? I noticed form the Facebook page that most teachers seems to be muslim (no offence intended).
