Hi, would like to know if a child is selected for the 1st choice school with higher COP, is it still possible to appeal to change to another school with lower COP? Both schools are listed in the 6 choices.

Theoretically yes you can. Alternatively, the child can put the school he wants as first choice, since he wants to transfer even if he gets into the first choice now. Why the trouble of appealing when he can just register and get into lower COP school?

Thanks for the advice. Reason is because I'm undecided abt the 1st and 2nd choice. 1st choice COP is 5pt above his t-score, 2nd choice COP is 3pt below his t-score. Whether i should decide based on COP (assuming the higher COP means better school and take a risk) or based on higher chance ie the school with COP 3pt below the t-score. Your thoughts?
Hi, am new to this forum and appreciate your advice.
My son scored 208. We stay in Hougang area.
Having read the previous posts we came to the following selection based on the school's COP and distance from home.

1) Seng Kang Sec (209) - reasonable distance
2) Hougang Sec (205) - shortest distance
3) Punggol Sec (205) - reasonable distance
4) Tampines Sec (210) - bit far
5) Yishun Sec (207) - bit far
6) Bedok Green Sec (201) - bit far

Appreciate your thoughts and advice. Tqvm.

You may want to include a school with COP 19x in your sixth choice as a safety net.

can consider Serangoon Sec (194)
Thank you, qms, floppy, phtthp and emoh for your advice. Have revised the list as follows :

1) Seng Kang Sec (209) - reasonable distance
2) Hougang Sec (205) - shortest distance
3) Punggol Sec (205) - reasonable distance
4) Yishun Sec (207) - bit far
5) Bedok Green Sec (201) - bit far
6) Serangoon See (194) - reasonable distance + safety net

Took out Tampines Sec as it is a distance and also I reckon the possibily is very slim given the gap to the COP so don't waste the chance. Make sense?
