    • RE: Catholic High School

      Rich dad poor dad:
      Not sure anyone can provide some input on the achievement for Visual & Performing Arts or even UG. Are these CCA able to obtain the bonus points that the sports CCA students can achieve when they get into national level competition? Let's say...a student in Choir. How do the school gauge his performance contribution? I believe the Visual & Performing Arts CCA don't really engage in competition and etc that could provide a clear gauge of their achievement. So are these students being put in a disadvantage position as compare to their sport CCA friends?

      With regard to your questions, the Visual & Performing Arts CCA do engage in competition at national level such as events like SYF. The school had announced the result last year as below for your reference.

    • RE: 2014 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

      Is there any parent who has requested to remark the psle papers? Can I know the procedures and dateline of such request? Do I submit the choice of sch while waiting?

      please find answers as below:

      http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum ... 69&t=80878

      Also, you have to submit the chocie of sch since you would only be notified of the re-marking result by 12-Dec. wish you good luck.

    • RE: APPEAL of PSLE Results 2014

      Hmm...actually I called MOE out of curiosity & he said it costs $51.35 per subject to review. The deadline for this year is 12 Dec if I'm wrong. But double-check just in case. šŸ˜„

      The moeny per subject is correct, but submission deadline is 27-Nov through school and result will be announced by 12-Dec. Take note that school might close earlier than 27-Nov and better submit earlier if you want to do so.

    • RE: Q&A - PSLE Math

      XXXX:
      Cynthiawah:

      :? Hello Everyone,

      Please help me with this question.Thank you in advance.
      http://i43.tinypic.com/11mf382.jpg\">

      1 man (and 3 women) in room Y works, unless I've misread the question.

      This leaves 1623 men and 541 women in room X. I doubt this is the intended answer though.

      I found that there's no answer for it.

      see below:

      At first:
      Ballroom X: men -> 1200 x 1/5 = 240
      women -> 1200 x 4/5 = 960
      Ballroom Y: men -> 968 x 2/11 = 176
      women -> 968 x 9/11 = 792
      Total men -> 240 + 176 = 416
      Total women -> 960 + 792 = 1752

      In the end:
      men : women : total
      Ballroom X 3u : 1u : 4u
      Ballroom Y 1v : 3v : 4v

      Hence we have below
      (1) 3u + 1v = 416
      (2) 1u + 3v = 1752

      However, we can't get proper result for above. Therefore, there's no answer for it.
