RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
For SNGS the WL conversion rate is fairly good based on past years successful cases i heard of. For internal WL ranking, can call up the school and try asking. Some schools would share hint but definitely not give u the direct answer. Good luck to yr DD!

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
Yes correct. There was only one f2f last year which was with school leaders. Good luck and all the best to your child!

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
Yes can be considered ‘2nd interview’ cos during the trial teachers in charge would oledy ask a few questions. The subsequent interview was the formal one which school leaders would present.

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
Sorry for CHS sports domain, interview is only for IP track. For o-level track there is no interview needed. In DSA submission form, u can indicate either IP, o-level or no-preference. In the end, if application is successful (CO or WL), school will offer u the track what they think best suit u. Then subject to your acceptance. The interviewers will not upfront tell u what’s their decision or thought during the interview.

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
For CHS sports domain, only one round of trial and one round of interview. Then school will inform outcome via email around 3rd week of Aug.

CO, WL and R will all be issued by end Aug. The usual suspects for late inform are the four most popular boy/girl schools. ACSI also quite late last year…

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
If one ranks very high in the WL then yes the chance is very high. For school R and H, maybe only top 2 in the WL stand a fair chance for conversion into CO. Before last year, the successful conversion rate was much higher because applicants could apply as many schools as they wanted. So the chance of forgoing CO also became higher. One thing about WL is if it comes from yr 1st choice of school, whereas your 2nd choice of school is a CO, u can still put WL school as your 1st choice. This will not affect your chance of entering to the 2nd choice of school since it is already a Confirmed Offer.

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
When comes to DSA offer, there are various considerations and strategies from one school to the other. There is no one size fits all answer. For instance based on what we understand from the past years forum that if one receives a WL from DHS, it’s as good as CO because all WLs will be converted to COs in the end. Am sure every school has their own thought-process when comes to decision making for DSA offer. This is beyond us. We just need to make sure we have done our best in this exercise and leave the rest to fate.
