Went past again today and see that some front part painted already. Should be ready for school starting. Same like many condo projects, once the structure are ready, the rest should be very fast. Think the building should be ready for us.

Hello! After much consideration we too decided to place our child in west spring instead of chij or wvps. Saw the hall was filled up with so many parents when we arrived abt 8am++.

Was kinda pissed off during the section 1, where there's two ladies checking n verifying our documents. One of them is so rude, asking in an unfriendly manner where is the health booklet. And we had already printed from the immunization website n given to her.
If she is a teacher, she needs to do some self reflection.

Anyway, like what the principle had mentioned during the chat session, really anticipate this sch opening with great teachers. :rahrah:
You think wrongly. The two ladies are not from West Spring staff. I saw 1 lady wear Beacon Primary pass. They are from the Beacon school to help.

I am happy that I have signed up today. Saw many who also went there early to register. Still feel very positive about West Spring and I think many also feel the same way. Now that there are another 100 over vacancy after today, should be a good school to go to. Chances very high. I feel good about it. Was talking to some parents at registration. One of them mentioned that it is very few chance to get into a school cos there will be no more new school going to be build. Rare chance to be enroll ling into a new school. I feel happy that I will get into one.

      Hi Kenny,

I feel same also. Think if there are enough for everyone and all of us will get in. Very positive about this and I have made the right choice! :boogie:

      Hi parents,

Any idea on how many students will be in a class?

I am hoping that the class won't be too big.

      Thanks.

      It is 30 per class.

Haven’t read the forum for some time. Tot I took a look before registering on Tues. Surprised to see so many discussions about the new West Spring. I have decided also to join West Spring, I think many will agree with me:

      1. So far, 209 places left. That would mean the 1km have high chances.
      2. New buildings, new facilities. While many schools upgrade the next few years, this West Spring is ready.
      3. Principal has good track records. Come from good school.
      4. Teachers selected from other good schools. Not new teachers who not experienced.
      5. 210 Primary 1 pupils. My child gets all the attention.
      6. Response time. The school responds very fast, both on feedback through phone and emails.
      7. Parent engagement. Many of us went for chat session. School is very approachable and engaging.
      8. I also saw Phase 2b, not PV yet. Must be grassroots leader signed up. They might have some information good about the school. Good indication also.

Think enough reasons to queue up at Beacon on Tues.

can anyone advise me on dis, in a dilemma to choose.

i'm eligible for phase 2a2 for a sch in cck. however i'm quite keen on west spring pri under phase 2c. i'm staying in senja. can i register under phase2a2 first n withdraw later as i'm afraid west spring will not have any vacancy. or shld i go straight n register under phase 2c?
West Spring looks very promising to me. So far, they have been very prompt in my emails, answering the questions I have for new sch. I will go for West Spring.

I called MOE and they gave me email address. Emailed the school. Got some info. The sch admin said that there will be a website set up to give us more info. They will also go to kindergarten and childcare nearby to advertise.

Please do update us once u have more info or the website is up. TIA

The principal will be from Yangzheng Primary school.

I have been told that new schools need to set up their own internal processes and systems, so the first few years may be a little \"messy\". But nonetheless, having a new school in our region is definitely exciting!
Think the principal comes from established famous school, shouldn't be a worry. Experience very important. Also, new school recruit teachers who come from other places, they choose the teachers. Got choice, sure get the better teachers, not new and not experience. Seriously thinking about West Spring.
