hihi ! I'm a ex tkps student , still in secondary school.
for those parents who are considering transferring your child to tkps , or those parents whose kids are going into primary 1 on 2015 , this post is for you. I'm not excellent at English , but I hope this helps you
tkps is a very fun school. however , we are not all play and no work. in pri 2 , there was a day where we could brig our pets to school , and we would have activities about pets and learning about them and there was a pet talent show. these activities really made our school life not boring. all my ex classmates from tkps say so too. we all love tkps and we actually wish we could go back to study there again.
while I was in tkps , I loved school and I lived going to class to learn new things. the speed of the teachers teaching wasn't very fast , and not too slow. I'm a slow learner , but I coped fine with my subjects.
p6 teachers are generally more experienced , and as your child grows older he definitely needs good coaching for his studies. for math , I had a teacher called Mrs Tang. her lessons are engaging and fruitful. she explains everything well.
tkps' psle results are quite good , above average of the schools in the region. the highest psle score I can remember in my batch was 258? around there. I'd say that's really good. when I was still a student there , the top classes were C and D and we had a Olympism class. that class had boys whose CCA was soccer and girls whose CCA was netball. I wasn't in any of the three mentioned. tkps' sports achievements are high. they always received champion for netball.
anyway , I really recommend bringing your child to tkps , it really is fun and there are good rules set , but the teachers aren't very scary. tkps is a really friendly place , I really enjoyed my time there and I miss it.
