I stay in Taman Jurong, hence I am within 2km to some schools in both JE and JW. I have just registered my DS in Fuhua under Phase 2Cs. I am wondering why it is undersubscribe as compare to school like JPS, LSPS and Shuqun even thou their PSLE has been in an upward trend.
I also stay at taman jurong too, Registed Fuhua on phase 2C.
Same thinking to u.........

For me, im doing the same thing with u planing now,Hi all,
Coming back to phase 2CS registration, I'm still finding out stuff for my friend so her next question is this:
How's the withdrawal from the school like? Let's say she register at marymount convent first, and she will be there to monitor. If last minute a million parents come to marymount (like what happened last year), can she withdraw? She plans to follow the advice of some KSF members and her hubby will station at Canossa Convent to register.
If such, for withdrawal, can she do so with just her NRIC? This is because her child's BC will need to be produced in Canossa Convent for registration, together with her hubby's IC. Can registration be done with only that at Canossa Convent?
Many thanks for your advice!
on P2C im register lakeside primary school first,
And wait there on last day till 4pm, and withdraw.....
My wife register at fuhua there, she bring all the document,
Lakeside primary school just req the pink form. -
RE: 2013 P1 Registration Exercise for 2014 In-Take
Yeah, my first choice is lakeside primary school(1-2km), but at the last day of registration date, I wait there until 4pm. Check with them how many the Registed person,
I know mayb need ballot, so I withdraw and to register at fuhua primary school (no need ballot).
Sometime we can’t just aim for 1 school. But lucky my doter say any school also can.
Ps: I’m PR. -

I have been crying whole day yesterday until my eyes are swollen. :gloomy: Not idea why but the tears just keep dropping. Didn't know it will have such a great effect on me. Maybe cos its my daughter's bday today and I felt bad that I couldn't let her enter the school that she wants. Now I really have no idea where to register her in 2CS as my other choices are either filled up or only left with few places. :faint:
Hi Celynn,
Be strong - your little DD depends on you for encouragement! i quote a line from an article i saw on Kiasu parents \"Our (Singapore) school system is ranked fifth in the whole world last year, according to a report by the Pearson Group. Even the worst in Singapore can't be all that bad, right?\"
The author is an ex-student from Yishun Primary School but seemed to have done well in life becoming a journalist with mates that have scored equally well - from a neighbourhood school.
Another scenario he quoted is so true - no interviewer will ever ask which primary school your DD is from. More importantly, it is how we educate our children with good values - this goes long after academic years for our kids.
In case you think i am just joining in the crowd to comfort, No - my DS didn't get into my preferred first choice for him. I withdrew my application from Chongfu (though 1 in 2 kids stand a chance in yesterday's balloting - i am SC within 1km) at Phase 2C to apply for my second choice - Yishun Primary.
Another article i read - the mum wanted her girl to excel (coz her girl is bright) and get into RGS but the girl's dream is to go to SOTA. So, take comfort, we as parents can plan as much as we want but God has already had a plan set out for our little darlings.
So, smile and bring your little girl out for some fun this weekend!Everything will be alright. :hugs: -
