Teach less is a kind of teaching approach, they want to train the kids to be independent in learning, have good learning attitude and not spoon feed. Of course, not all kids are suitable but this type of training should start from young and from home too. 😄

I have the same thought :celebrate:

My dad used a Tiger wok before - and I recall it costed a lot more. Sad to say, despite rave reviews from my friend, my dad hated it cos the wok warped after months of use...it just wasn't in shape anymore.
      Tiger no warranty?
Buffalo or vita craft got 10 yrs warranty periods.

Yup, this is available in OG/Metro etc in various sizes. can wait for their sales to get like 20% off. I think my dad's wok is bit lesser than $90 (either the 34 or 36 inch one).
      Hi,

      It is a non-stick wok, not a s/steel one.
i think it was 34 or 36 cm?

Cooking with s/steel wok is different from the tradition wok. I would suggest you visit those demo stalls on how to use before making the decision.

      Hi Jennifer,

      Jennifer:
I have 2 woks - one 36' slightly round bottom (brand: U-Like), one 28' flat bottom (brand: WMF).
sorry, I think there are some typing errors.
      36' means 36 feet.
      36'' means 36 inches.

\"My guess of what \"teach less\" means, is to be less reliant on text-books and less spoon-feeding. However, the students have to learn more through other methods: practical, role-play, project work, etc., in school.\"
I agree with busymom. it's the teaching method.

personally, i feel learning and teaching must start frm home when a child is born.when a child is well disciplined, he/she will be able to learn on their own with minimum coaching.

of course, school is the proper place for learning but we as parents must also be responsible to guide our children at home. how much can we guide? it's very subjective. it's depend on what we want our children to be.
If you are very kiasu, then you guide more.

I do agree that it's very tiring to spend time after works with our children and we have to sacrifice a lot of our hobbies, movies etc.

But I feel that when we coaching our children, it will make our relationship getting closer, less generation gapping and we will know more about them, so do they.
