Which is the most appropriate timeas its already an age where kids can comprehend.I used fingers and beads too… initially.Learning from concrete leads to abstract.Means, we use ‘real’ materials to introduce concepts,teach methodologies and then convert them to mentalcounting. Do not give up, it will work eventually…Use materials that child likes to count other than beads.It will help develop interest. Child will not realise heis actually learning thru all that playing…Cheers.
