We are searching for unit to rent. But currently most landlord wants us to sign 2-year lease. Need your opinion on this.
1. We plan to enrol our kid in Primary school , which is < 1KM next year. If it's successfully got in, then all are good. If the balloting fail, and our kid is assigned by MOE to school with vacancies, but more than 1KM school, is the unit address that is previously registered VOID? Because of the 2-year lease, we may need to break the lease and search for the rental nearby the assigned school. Can the school accept the new address?

2. If we choose the unit to rent for 1-year lease. And assume my kid successfully got in the preferred school < 1KM. But my tenancy agreement due before 30 months stay - due to space constraint, can I move within the same area near to my child school , still within 1 KM? Need to reset another 30 months?
