On Thursday morning during assembly, mdm Heng shared with the girls about a baseless allegation made by a girl that the school has cut back on the budget for CCA. She called out to the girls that all complaints must be base on facts and not hear say.


If indeed the bad experiences that Cassiopeia, mdm wen Juan and lim gh have accounted here are real and base on actual facts, pls do not hesitate to immediately step into mdm heng's office or any of her vp to complain and lodge the case against the concerned teacher/s for further investigation and clarification. afterwards, kindly share with us their attitude and action.

What you have shared are serious allegations about the school and the attitude and contempt by a teacher cannot be taken lightly.

Hmm.. I'm not sure about cases Mdm wen Juan and lim gh said are true... But I hope all of you didn't misunderstood my post. It's true that the teachers are biased against some students and so on. But they shouldn't go overboard. I also feel that NYGH is a well known school with good reputations. And as for the teacher who said my dd skipped school on purpose, this is true and I have already emailed him. So I hope to get a reply soon and can alert all of you so that you all won't be so worried about your dd.

According to my dd, a few of the teachers are biased and a little unreasonable. But after a year in there( she's now in year 2), it is really not a bad choice of school The school management updates us quite frequently and her form teacher is quite on the ball!

My son was afraid I'll scold him for a 52% grade for Chinese...but with so many tests, I close one eye but reminded him to revise constantly.

My daughter is currently in NYGH and failing Chinese is quite normal for them.. But NY Chinese really too chim haha.

NYGH(nanyang girls' high school) is an extremely popular secondary school, especially for top schorlars. Many people try their best to get in by DSA to try and secure a place there. my oldest daughter was one of them. back then, i really supported her in her dream to go to nanyang. but now i really regret it. theyear has barely started and she has already been getting nightmares everyday and seems to be undergoing depression. i m extremely worried about her. i personally feel that this is caused by her school work. she has to stay up till 2am in the morning just to complete her homework very often. i really regret sending her to nanyang. it has caused her mental well-being to become extremely unhealthy and now she is even undergoing counseling at a professional counsilor . i would advice all parents to think twice before sending your daughters to nanyang.

What level is your daughter in now? My daughter in sec 2 have quite a bit of homework to do and stuff....

NY very stressful. One day can give the students one big pile of SIA proposals, worksheet etc even if they have CCA on that day And some need to be handed up the next day.
