      Have few questions.

      1. For Olympiad - Will all children (GEP) be allowed to sit for the exam or only selected. My Son in P4 GEP.

      2. When coming to choosing a project , will it have any impact on the DSA for example children who choose science/ maths have better change than those who choose Social Studies.

      :?:

      hi,

qn 1. Was told the some olympiad competitions are meant for p5 & p6 and some only for p6 (if I am not wrong). You can check it out with your son school's maths teacher as I am not too sure too šŸ˜‰

qn2. Social Studies and science both have compulsory projects to be done for the p4 and p5 gepers. Regarding how their results affect their dsa...probably got to seek comment from parents whose gepers kids have gone thru the dsa....

thnx Vlim. Teacher replied that she will check with HOD...

      Hi Experts

trying to understand more about DSA. I have few questions

      1. COP for non GEP and GEP , how it works for the ip schools.
      2. Do you have statistics for GEP students got in secondary school via DSA.
      3. What if GEP student is not successfull via DSA. Ya know that he will need to apply after PSLE but how does COP works then for GEP students.
      4. do we have the statistics of GEP students in to which secondary school they have got in... to....
      :? :?:

      I no expert, but:

      1) COP for GEP/non are the same regardless of schools.
      2) stats usually released by primary school during the dsa briefing
Though briefing is for p6 students/parents, if you're curious, you can always crash the party.
      3) Same application process and COP as mainstreamers.
      4) I'm also still looking. But just an idea. At least 7 out of my son's class of 14 boys made it to RI.

      PM you.

I can only help to answer Q1 ... gate 1 is quite safe as it is a small road. There is no traffic warden on duty but generally its quite safe to use the traffic light crossing.

      :thankyou:

    • RE: St Hilda's Primary

Hi My son posted to P4 GEP .

Totally new to this area . please help parents.

      1. I see from jan 2009 that lots of construction works going on and few gates closed. My DS will be joining the Student care in 842C. According to the student care children hve to come to centre themselves. so the Gate 1 is it safer to use . will there be traffic warden to help out when school ends.

      2. How is the after school activities , do they need to stay long , if so how many days. do they have supplementary classes etc....

      3. When enquiring in student care , they told me that school gives lots of homework , is that so.

      4. Also what about the very good tuition centres near by , please help advise

I know its too many questions but :?: :?: :?:.

so which gates the students can use , please advise which is safer too. I heard that there is one gate facing the 842C block (back gate) .can children use it. this is small path near HDB block and totally safe.

      please help advise.

      2. other than 842C any other good student care avail near the school. 3. How is the after school activities , do they need to stay long , if so how many days. do they have supplementary classes etc....

      Any St. Hilda's parents here....

I think most of the GEP info should be up in the school websites alerady. Just checked for CHS, already listed total 54 students for 2 GEP classes next year.

I think only CHS have not other school. only parents can share if they know....
