I have purchased a yet-to-be completed property and should be moving in after the property is completed. Can I make use of the new home address for the purpose of registration?

Yes. The new home address can be used provided that you are able to produce evidence from the relevant authority that you have committed to the purchase of this property. In the case of private property, you must produce the original copy of the Sales and Purchase Agreement. The date of commitment by the developer in the Temporary Occupation Permit (T.O.P) must not be later than 31 Dec 2013. In the case of HDB flat, the Agreement for Lease is required. Parents must move into the new property within two years of the child’s entry into Primary One otherwise the child will be transferred out of the school.

The above date was applicable to those who registered last year. Hence, for this year's registration, as long as the new property achieves its TOP by 31 Dec 2014, you are allowed to use the address this year for P1 registration

so if my official T.O.P. is 2015 can I appeal?

      Very Hard.
The admin from the school may not even give u the form to apply for P1 registration. Experience from last year :stupid:

no chance to appeal from MOE so the school \"force\" to give me the form!! 😛

      Hi,

if I need to register my kid this year for Pri 1, my new place T.O.P. officially is 2015 but developer told me we can shift in end of next year, can the school accept? What document can I show in order to register for 2C under this situation?

Bring along your Sales Agreement. 😂

hmm..called the school but the administrator said followed the T.O.P. strictly so can I appeal to MOE with the sales agreement? :scratchhead:

I am indeed very skeptical too…how a 2 days program can "activate" children brain? What did the trainers did?

My boy was at west coast plaza previously, i like the environment, the incharged is very aware of cleanliness and hygiene. But their opening hours are selective hence the classes are taken up very fast.

I have a K2 girl going to P1 next year. She is currently taking I Can Read and is learning to read short stories. She can read words and short sentences by the phonics way. Next year ICR will be going into Oral Comprehension and Creative Writing, etc. Am thinking of stopping her lessons in Dec as I think P1 should be covering those topics and I also do not want to overwhelm her with too much stuff to learn.

Anyone has any experience in this to share?
hi jeanieg, same my child going P1 next year and going to complete ICR by this november so intend to stop him and see he can manage in pri school b4 deciding what enhancement he need..
