Hi, DS cannot decide which CCA to choose. Can anyone advise which is CCA is better? Any advise on NCC Air, NPCC and Chinese Orchestra?

Seems like the CCA is \"pre-determined\" for most boys. If not on the preselected list of students, it would be really hard to get in, unless someone on the list joins another CCA. Not much freedom of choice, unfortunately!

Were you aware of this \"removable buttons\" thingy, before your DS joins CHS ? If you had known, would you have let him choose CHS ?

No I wasn't aware before, but it wouldn't have changed our decision. There are many more important factors than 7 buttons!

There are many parents who do sew it to the button holes so no need to do it up all the time. Not much rusting.

Another way is to sew a button at the end of the \"metal\" button so that it slips easily through the buttonhole so it's easy to put on and off.

If you prefer doing it the traditional way, then just throw all the shirts to your boys after it is out from being laundered and ask them to put in all the buttons ... then Iron them.

We usually attach 7 buttons at one go. DS will wear the shirt and button up, like other shirts.

If you put on the front buttons only after wearing the shirt, the shirt will get crumpled, won't it ?

Don't do all these 'jobs' in the morning when you are in a rush. The more panicky you are, the more difficult it is to get those rings through the button holes.

Practice makes perfect. Once you get the hang of it, it will be very easy & fast.. Enjoy !!

Some parents do it for 10 years (Pri + Sec).. :salute:

Wonder if the new JC uniform will have removable silver buttons too..

You should start training your DS to do it himself.. My DS (in Pri Sch) does it by himself.. All done in less than one minute..

Hi, I have a girl who is in P1. I'm looking for someone to carpool with for her transport to & from school.


Currently my daughter needs to wake up @ 540 to get ready for the schoolbus which comes at 610 & gets her to school by 645, which is unnecessarily early! :snooze:

I'm looking for any parents who live around my area (Braddell Rd near Serangoon side) who send their girls to & from school to see if we could carpool. We can send the girls to school & the other parent can fetch them home after school. I thought of letting her take one-way but that costs $130 as compared to $140 two-way!! :stupid:
