Hi all,

I am staying at Fernvale, have a boy who is currently in K1 now. As my boy is very curious, I wanted to find a pre-school which is able to allow him to explore and also at the same time be able to learn some academics (being in Singapore and all). I was looking around and found a pre-school near Yio Chu Kang Mrt. When I first got there, I really liked the place as the school has an open concept, environment was clean and bright. But I have a slight concern about the potential noise level. The principal Ms Pei, was very kind. She actually helped to allay my concerns and patiently guided me through their curriculum. And I found out they actually have a compulsory swimming program for K1 and K2, which does not have extra costs!
Ms Pei also told me that they have weekly and monthly outdoor trips to enable their kids to explore beyond the classrooms, which is something I really like since my boy is really pretty active.

Also, they have a K2 Alpha-kids program which is focused on helping the kids to bridge to P1, which is something I am very concerned after hearing all the stressful parents' stories about P1! The distance from my house in Fernvale to the preschool is abit of a concern though, but Ms Pei actually said that they provide a school-bus service from Fernvale to the school.

It has been a half a year since I send my kid to the school and really, i can't say about other schools, but I am really pleased with the teachers' patience and dedication to the children. My boy really enjoys his lessons and now he is learning to swim pretty well! I rarely recommend things, as every parent has their preferences, but this school has impressed me with the quality of their staff and thus I feel that I must give a shout-out for them.
