Hi All,

I am new here and would like to have some feedbacks from you all.
Currently my 4 year old boy is doing 3 now, addition.

All along his focus skills is not good, but I still manage to make him finish his homework everyday (But in centre he is relactant to do) and last week, the teacher in charge suddently came out of the centre.

She told me sorry if I would like to withdraw my boy out of the centre which was not in my mind. Probably my boy was really very in-cooperative and reluctant but as a working mum, I did my best by preserving, doing a 10 mins homework with him everyday after a hectic working hours. Now, this main branch teacher lost faith with him? He barely join during march 14 and I am very disappointed with this teacher as there was an incidence I saw, wanted to reject another boy with a very invalid reason I’ve seen so far ( thank god this boy is still in centre then)

Teacher mention that he do not have the attitude.

Before I enroll to kumon. She is the one that says we have to be persistent when teaching them kumon method. Yesterday, she rejected my boy. She say she have already tried many methods but didn’t work out.

I actually talk to a teacher and she suggested me to talk to the management. Before that, I asked her to give him more time as he is only 4 years old and barely in the centre for a year. I believed different kids have their different time to settle down and not that he is not progressing well.

Perhaps a week for two lesson could not let my boy settle down in such a classroom style and I seek help from the teacher and give her suggestion for cutting down the pages in centre and giving more work at home so that he like to go to centre better. I am finding many ways to make this boy have more positive attitude but I do not know why teacher give up a student so easily?

Am I asking too much or?

I actually wrote to the management and the chief manager met me for some explanation and this teacher, tell me she want to take back the words she said to me.

She is worry that he will be stuck at level 3 for long ( he only left two worksheets) and might not able to go through next step due to his behaviour and attitude when he did his HW in the centre…

What should I do?
