Don't lose faith. My son was rejected by HCI for leadership 2 years ago but he was accepted by RI for leadership.

My son applied under DSA leadership last year. He chose 3 schools, HCI, CHS and RI. He was accepted by CHI and RI. He is in RI now. He was an exco member from prefectorial board. HCI and CHS was just zoom interview. However, RI requested applicants to a short write up. Something about how you overcome challenges/difficulties. Then RI will select the successful applicants for interview. Only CHS interview was done in a group.

Can i ask, was your son head or vice head prefect? or just a prefect but from exco team? And if his result was over 90s range.

Zero1 - I also wondered about that. I know of an applicant who got her WL converted to CO on the day of the Psle results collection. ( 2 years ago)

Maybe a bit too late to ask- but would u consider not telling your child of the Dsa results till after they have sat for the exams ?
Be it a CO/WL or a rejection ?

I actually told my DS when he got rejected from HCI. He was disappointed. Told him to concentrate on his studies, do not harbour high hopes on RI and CHS. It was definitely a big boost for his morale when DS received CO for RI and CHS. Now I tell him to concentrate on his studies, give it a best shot.

I wasn’t expecting such a low number... wow... the sec sch trs really sieve out who they wana meet then..

Anyone knows the average number of shortlist for sec sch trs looking after sports? Or leadership? I heard last few years sports they had a whole bunch of students go down n just mass trial.. probably more than 50 pax.. this yr will b v tough to do such mass trial n instead really choose...
