Clueless parent seeking advice on school selection for 2021 intake.

1.SC child in MOE Kindergarten at Waterway Pri School.
2. Within 1km of current address, there is Mee Toh and Horizon Pri School.
3. Preference is to put child in CHIJ OLN which is >2km from where i stay.

My plans:
1. Try either Mee Toh / Horizon Pri under phase 2C.
2. If the above fails, then try CHIJ OLN.
3. If the above fails, go back to Waterway Pri.

If i’m still hoping to try for CHIJ OLN, in comparison with the other schools mentioned, what are the odds since the rest are equally popular in the area?

If i try for CHIJ OLN, do i qualify under phase 2C (>2km) or phase 2C(S)? Should I just take a bet and directly try CHIJ OLN or not waste the chance for phase 2C (<1km) for Mee Toh / Horizon?

I was trying to figure the schools’ registration statistics on the table but can’t really figure it out.

My suggestion:
1. Register Waterway Pri under Phase 2A2 (MOE K)
2. Watch the enrollment for Mee Toh, Horizon and CHIJ OLN in Phase 2C.

My gut feel is both Mee Toh and Horizon will ballot for SC < 1km and CHIJ OLN will ballot for SC > 2km.

If CHIJ OLN ballot in Phase 2C is for PR, you can make a dash for it. Otherwise, you have to decide which of 3 schools you want to ballot or is it better to stick to Waterway (especially if Waterway is also running low on places for Phase 2CS). You will have to withdraw from Waterway first, if you intend to register under Phase 2C.

Just to understand further when you mentioned, \"If CHIJ OLN ballot in Phase 2C is for PR, you can make a dash for it.\" - Do you mean I will fall under Phase 2C(S) and since Phase 2C is already for PR, this means as a SC I will stand a high chance for Phase 2C(S)? Usually when do we register for this phase? Is it only after they release the balance for Phase 2C and when will this happen?
