    • RE: Hougang Primary

      Hi

My gal is successfully going into Hougang Primary next year . I will like to know if Hougang Pri has any Parents Group which I can join ? I know some schools they have organized groups for parents to know or participate in schools activities / events.

      Thank you.

      Hi Daddies n Mummies

Im keen to know more about HGP School . This school is currently very near my mum house . Im looking around and wan tot gather more info . We need to choose the Primary School for my gal next year .

So far , info I got from … HGP has a lot of outdoor activities … not strictly on academics … I saw the school has facilities like rock climbing.

Personally I prefer a school that can teach / guide children on values , outdoor things etc… but of course on academics . Some schools I heard they focus very much on academics and seem push very hard on children .

      1) Is it necessary to join as PV in order to get a place ? What kind of PV work do they have ?
      2) Does HPG have any parents group ? If my gal is selected , Im keen to join this parents group if have like get together session etc .
      3) Can anyone share with me what is the school bus routes and charges ?

Lastly , please share with me your experience with this school .

As this is my 1st time choosing Primary school , really have no idea what things to ask or take note .

      Thank you .

      Hi Parents

I will be moving to Pasir Ris Area soon this year .. kind of excited as Pasir Ris is a totally new place to me . My gal is K1 this year .. very soon in 2016 she will be going Primary School. As a mum , I now kind of see n look around the nearby Primary Schools in Pasir Ris Area . Im not those looking for branded schools.. I prefer neighbhood schools + convenient 🙂 So far I see that the nearest schools - Elias Park ( nearer ) or Park View ( 1-2 Bus Stop ) . Both still within 1 KM . From the reviews here , it seem Park View to be well liked by more parents .

1)I will still like to hear more feedback from parents - like the teachers , principal , CCA academic in PVPS .

      2) If I enroll my gal to PVPS next time , does PVPS has this Parent Group Committee ? I heard some schools do have this group for parents .

      3) School Bus - can anyone share how much is the fares and If I require the school bus service next time , how do I go about it - procedure ?

      Million Thanks ...

    • RE: Elias Park Primary

      Hi Mummies / Daddies

My gal is now K1… we will be moving to Pasir Ris Area soon this year . I’m now looking around for Primary Schools ( deciding which is better ). From this forum , I can see the principal of EPPS seem not " that friendly" . I was really shocked to hear that she can asked back the parent : What is your qualification " ?? I think this is not very professional … as an Educator , they shouldn’t act / behave this way . We the parents entrust our kids to your school as we hope the teachers can help educate our child better ( teaching morale , education etc ) .

I hope to hear more feedback on EPPS .

      Hi Parents

I will be moving to Pasir Ris Area soon this year … my gal is currently K1 . Im now looking at the Primary Schools near our new house . Nearest Primary School - Elias Park ( 2 bus stops away within 1 KM ) or Park View ( also within 1 KM ) ? I did went into their websites and see that both schools seem not bad . I need parents comments / views on these schools .
      1) Do we have to do any volunteer work if we want our kids to get into that school ?
      2) I saw the schools have this Parents Group Committee . How do we get into this group and I heard it is good to participate as u can get involved in many activities.
      3) My gal will be in Pri 1 in 2016 . What should I do ? Wait for Govt to send us the letter etc ? Please advise usually how is the procedure like and what are the things we can/ should do ?

      Million Thanks
