Very helpful thanks.
Do you mind me asking if how long did you put your kid there? Since PG or Nursery? Any comments on their cleanliness, HFMD incidences? Thanks.
Agree with stefhl! The school has been very proactive even during circuit breaker with lots of high quality activities sent home including a cookies decoration box for family bonding. 🤗 My older one graduated from Maple bear midview and younger ones have been there from 18 months old. Our family has been with the centre for over three years... we love the school and open communication with the principal and director. No complains about the cleanliness, in fact I find they upkeep pretty well. They have 2-3 cleaning staff and hardly any HFMD incidence... Don't recall any this year. The centre does professional sanitization often too...

Any comments on outlet in Bishan, Binchang? It’s a pretty new one, just opened earlier this year. And it’s a franchise
Hi Carolkrys, yes Binchang is new.. Have you visited? My kids have been with the other Maple bear at Midview City which offers school bus service in the area. No complains so far... they just celebrated their 5th year anniversary with a charity art fair and zoomoov rides in school for the kids and adults! 😂 The teachers are very creative in engaging children to learn so it's no wonder my children enjoy their time at school.

Hi I am moving to Bishan next year and would need to enrol my son (N1 currently) and daughter (PG currently) into childcare. Desperately finding the childcare, currently only Bright Juniors has vacancies for next year. Would like to see if there's any reviews on the childcare near Bishan street 12? Bright Juniors, Star Learners or My World?

Thank you in advance..
Hi girlruhi! You can consider Maplebear Midview City which is part of the popular maple bear preschool chain... This is one of the earlier centres and have school bus service to and from Bishan as many of us live in the bishan, thomson area. Amazing and caring teachers and director who know every child by name... I would say good balance of learning through play and academics which not many preschools can achieve.. my kids enjoy school! :hi5:

Hi, my kids have been attending Maple Bear Midview City for more than two years now... i would say they look forward to school very much! My younger one still cries sometimes in the morning as she can be moody out of bed, but she is fine once we drop her off. I am assured she is in good hands as the centre owner and principal are very caring and approachable. School events are always well planned by their creative staff and parents can see the heart in the details. I always feel my children are so lucky to grow up and learn in such a nurturing place... :please: I have friends who send to other Maplebear centres too like bukit timah, pasir panjang, sembawang, paya lebar, hillview and alexandra and have said good things about the schools so far... i have not heard about the one at bedok before, is it new?
Hello,

I am trying to decide between Joy Little Schoolhouse, Red Schoolhouse and Maple Bear.

All of which are at Midview. May I know if anyone has any review that they can share?

Much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hi corielia,

Have you tried any? I joined Maple Bear but am thinking of changing to Joy Little. I like Maple Bear for the environment and teachers but my child needs a more chinese environment. Would like to know more about Joy Little. Which childcare did you sign up for in the end?

Hi . It's a late post but I would like to check if you or any mummies out here signed up with joy little ? I'm looking for PG class and found joy little environment old. But the only thing that attracts me is the Chinese speaking environment which I probably need for my child. Anybody has feedback about their Montessori curriculum or their teachers quality?

Many thanks!
Hi Pheobe, just happen to see your post. Which centre did you join in the end? We viewed the other schools at Midview City too when looking and chose Maplebear in the end. So far very happy with the clean environment, quality of teachers and Chinese curriculum. They have experienced teachers, some previously from Pat's Schoolhouse and Mindchamps.

• RE: MapleBear Preschool

Just to add my thoughts now that my kids have been attending Maple Bear Midview City for more than a year... We switched from another CC to Maplebear Midview and can't be happier about the decision. We recommended the school to some friends and neighbours who have also now sent their children to the centre and our LOs look forward to school everyday. My eldest is in K2 which has very senior and strong English and Mandarin teachers, mostly from Pat's Schoolhouse. The Chinese teachers use analogy and real-life examples to teach Chinese so even hanyu pinyin, my child found it easy to pick up. They have worksheets, work on presentation and performance skills, and also do math in Chinese to strengthen logical reasoning and language since my child joined in K1. I am really glad the centre does learning-through-play well but also prepares my child for the next major milestone, Primary school. I understand from other parents who have been with the centre since it started 4 years ago that a number of teachers who started with the school then are still around. I find this pretty amazing considering the high turnover I saw at our previous CC and from comments in this forum. This centre's management and Principal have been open to feedback and very approachable, which I now realise is an important factor to a great school instead of fancy facilities. They make an effort to know each child and every parent, I can tell they care for the kids and am assured that my children are in good hands. My younger one sometimes asks to give her favourite snacks or toys to her class teacher which shows how much she loves her and thinks about school...

mummylina:
hello! Sorry I hope my response is not too late for you to consider Maple Bear. I am very happy with everything so far. My daughter loves going to school every morning (in fact she is so sad on weekends when I tell her there is no school)! The teachers are all very patient and pleasant and the directors are always at the centre too so I feel like my daughter is in safe hands as they will monitor the teachers. As for hygiene I have no complaints, they do something like a centre misting quite often, you can see the sign at the entrance so I think they do their best to prevent all the hfmd kind of spread. No complaints so far... best part is my daughter enjoys it so I'm happy. :boogie:

Hi mummylina.. I am looking to change schools for my children as we are moving to the area so have seen a quite a few schools recently. We met with the principal of Maple Bear who was very thorough in answering our questions and managed to pass by a class where the children looked like they were having great fun playing different roles and acting out a story in Mandarin with their Chinese teacher. I thought the classrooms looked very cheerful with the full glass windows allowing sunlight to come in and the creative way the children's work were presented.. quite different from some other schools we have seen. As we were going to leave, we overheard a teacher speak to a parent about noticing some redness or rashes on the child's arm and sounding very concerned. I was impressed with the concern shown and attention to such detail. Not sure if this is common in childcares but certainly not in our current school. I would have to decide soon but wanted to find out how often do the teachers speak to parents about the child's progress and if the school's teachers/principal are open to feedback?
