    • RE: GCE O level result release on 9 Jan

      Extracted from CNA

forging ahead is top Malay student Nadiah Nadhirah, who scored a distinction in Chinese, despite taking up the subject only in Secondary One.

She said: \"What we had to do was memorise all these Chinese characters and there were times when I felt like I wanted to quit Chinese. But motivation from my parents, my friends and my teachers enabled me to go all the way up to the O-Levels.\"

this is a role-model for all that say Chinese is too tough, especially for the Chinese race.

Equally impressive, is one Chinese boy from Bukit Panjang Govt high, whose mother tongue is \"Higher Malay\" with 9 A1s.

What we had to do was memorise all these Chinese characters - Is Chinese has become a subject to test memory????

My son's school, Fairfield, had 273 for the best pupil and my son only got 247(+1). My target was 250 for him... 😢 Anyone knows what good schools he can go to?

Asked my son about the questions as requested, but like all the other kids, he also has \"PSLE Amnesia\"!

My son can remember most of the Maths only. For Science, he can't remember a single 1! :
