What sort of disciplinary cases do your class have? Are they very serious ones?

I asked because my DS seems to be very free since school started on 2nd Jan till today. He does not have any homework to do cos he said he finished them in school.
No spelling and no 听写to learn. No upcoming tests to study.
Anyone shares the same experience too?

Out of curiosity, can any parents please share with me if your DS in Sec One are tested on English spelling or Chinese 听写yet?

I asked because my DS told me he has not been given any yet in his class.
However, my niece and nephew from other secondary schools in Sec One standard too are already tested on 听写and already have CA on a weekly basis.

Thanks to all. I have just called them and they informed me about the venue. My collection time is on Friday, 11am to 4pm. I will have to take half day leave.

You can arrange with the vendor to collect the macbook either on Sat or Sun...so you can save on your leave

1) Besides MSHS, does anyone know what other schools make it compulsory for their Sec 1 students to purchase a MacBook?

2) Curious to know how these schools help students who's parents cannot afford to fork out $1800 to $2300 for the MacBook.

3) Heard that the theft rate is very high in MSHS on MacBook being stolen in school compound.

I guess most of the notifications is conveyed to our DS directly, thus they definitely have to be alert in class. I think that is the case in secondary school. Unless consent fm parents is needed, we will get the note.


In case there is doubts, DS can check with his classmates. So far, my DS is alright, ie tells me what are needed, etc, and his friend's mum does call me to confirm things too....
