Huh.... you mean teacher for P5 Humility is studying part-time? I thought P5 is very important year that the principal said there is 30% increase in curriculum. Hopefully the teacher can cope with it otherwise the class will be dragged down.....and this is supposed to be one of the HA classes!

No lah not my my daughter's P5 class. Another humility class.

It’s a school policy. So the individual school decides. I don’t agree with this policy because I know many students who scored b3 or lower for normal Chinese O levels, in fact do very well for higher Chinese

My Daughter scored B3 for O level Chinese. She took this exam last year when she was in Sec 3. Her teacher now told her to withdraw from Higher Chinese in Sec 4, because HCL paper is very difficult and likely my daughter will score F9. However the same teacher at same time she told her that she has potential to score A1 for O level Chinese if she retakes this year in Sec 4. Question is, is it possible that there is such a huge gap between O level CL and HCL?

      My dd got econs A/math A/Physics B/Chemistry B/Gp A/PW A.

Do you think she stands a chance trying for NUS medicine?
She thinks it’s a lost cause. She says many of her HCI classmates have 3 to 4 H2 distinctions

      Hi,

Is my ds is 9 points below the temasek COP but is posted to a school that requires an hour travel, is it still.possible to appeal to temasek school on basis of distance?

Do your ds strong in any cca? If yes, I feel just try. U never try U never know.

Yes, I agree. Since the posted school is so far, might as well try appealing. I hope your son's first choice school is temasek, because this is important. If your ds is prefect or represents the primary school in concerts/competitions, you should try to point that out in the appeal papers too.

      Hi vividlaurel

I had the same problem as you last year. For the school books, you may not need to buy any since during the first few days of January, most schools have orientation program. During the orientation, the students do not study. Being a kiasuparent, I checked the booklists for both schools and bought the common textbooks. Usually chinese, geography and history books are the same. Attire is very important for girls, so I recommend that your daughter does not look out of place. For the uniform, I bought only one set - school T-shirt, shorts, blouse and skirt. On 31st Dec, the first choice school called to say my dd was successful and I donated the uniforms to the school office for the second choice school 😄

Actually I got SMS fr MSHS at 6pm, which asked boy to report to school on 2nd Jan at 7.20am. but in earlier, school officer told me just go for withdrawal first then come back to MS is ok. Then I though boy need to go wt me to org posted school b4 report to school. So I'm confused now (called Sch but no staff now). Hv any advice, especially for who wt some situation as me? Thank u.

I think you should go to the successfully appealed school with the boy and secure your place at the office first, then go to the posted school for withdrawal form and then return to the appealed school again to finish the transfer process.
Parents who have completed the transfer, am I correct?

Hi, for parents who are appealing for a place in Crescent Girls, there will be a vacant spot soon. My daughter has successfully appealed to another school, and I will be informing CGS of the withdrawal this Friday.
