The answer sheet says it shld be a comma. Is it? Why? It's just one statement without any continuation. -

Thanks, iFruit, for the link on that very informative website! I got the answer now, has to be "had stayed", according to the explanation on that website. Now know how to explain the difference btw has____and had ___ to my kid.

Actually, the answer booklet states "had stayed". But why? I find it hard to explain the difference between had ____and has _____.
