My DD will be in P3 Lily this year, any chat group for parents?

Parents of P1 Integrity, there is a Maths test paper given out today for our DD to practise.

There is a particular "trick" question that is hard to teach our DD, but I found a very close solution for them (cut n paste from other threads):

_____ is 3 less than 10 ( ___ = 3 - 10)
3 is _____ less than 10 (3 = ____ - 10)
3 less than 10 is ______ (3 - 10 = ___)
3 is 10 less than ______ (3 = 10 - )

is 3 more than 10 ( ____ = 3 + 10)
10 is ____ more than 3 (10 = ____ + 3)

I find this a good approach, though we end up with -ve number which we should ignore for the time being.

Parents should not worry about remedial class for your DD, they are still young to understand why they are selected for this class. Remember when we were young, our teachers dun bother whether if we understand the topics, they just teach without any additional class to help the weak ones. We should feel glad that schools nowadays put in effort to help the weak students, and not think about how bad our DD is. At least this will help your DD to progress better, rather than left behind.

My dd says there is no school on Monday (3rd Feb), is this true?

1) My gal wrote down the spelling date on the spelling list. However, last Friday the teacher has changed the spelling date to 21st Jan.
2) my gal brought back the Handwriting book on last Friday. They are to complete till letter 'E'
3) Is your gal joining any CCA? My gal opt for Arts but she din receive the acceptance letter. Wondering if that means she's not being selected.

1) I've starting to teach my girl spelling since the first week, so she is already prepared for the spelling test.
2) they are learning.from the basics now.
3) she is in Rythmic Gymnastic.
4) My girl's name is Yi Qing.
5) she takes bus 1. She told me there is no seat belt in the bus, I thot it's a must to have for all school bus? Anyway, she says there are older girls who bully others in the bus, but not her. She usually plays with others quietly. There is an auntie that is nice in the bus.

Nice to read all the headaches that parents have in this forum, at least I know what's going on with all the materials given by the teachers, now.

1) how do you know spelling starts on 14 Jan?
2) I told my girl to ask teacher when she will be getting back all her work for English, she says she will be getting them back this Friday. At least we parents know what our girls are doing in school.
3) my girl told me that she is doing handwriting for English since yesterday, now is letter D (I think).

Btw, what does DD mean?
