Frontier is a relatively \"new\" school started in 2011, but has since been balloting mostly in Phase 2C for those <1km! This means that there is great demand for places in the school for that area.
It has balloting in Phase 2A2 for the first time last year for those staying 1-2km away.
The balloting was ridiculously high for the 2020 Phase 2C with 71 applicants vying for only 23 places.

I cannot tell you what kind of school culture you will find in Frontier, but getting a place inside there for Phase 2C seems to be a challenge. The growth in Phase 2A2 applicants has been astounding starting from 1 in 2017 to 111 in 2021, so it shows that people with some affiliation to the school is going for the school (I don't think they are alumni since the school was only started 10 years ago 🙂 ).

In terms of Phase 1 applicants, the highest was 135 in 2018, tapering down to 87 in 2021. So, I would say this shows confidence that parents have in the school as they are prepared to send their children's siblings to the same school.
      Thank You so much! 😃

Westwood Primary was started in 2012, and has required balloting in Phase 2C since, consistently for <1km since 2017.
In 2021, the Phase 2C balloting was 99 applicants for 40 places!
In 2020, there was mild balloting in Phase 2A2 for parents of PR kids staying < 1km away.

Your best bet would be Phase 2B which has no balloting at all, yet.

I cannot comment on the teachers there... just that the take up rate in Phase 1 is consistently high and was 86 last year. This shows there is confidence in the school.
Thank you for the input. I only qualify for 2C. Didn't see from this angle that Phase 1 take up rate high means something. Thank You! 🙂
