I think you are looking towards the wrong direction. According to Onemap, Stamford is between 1km to 2km to Tanjong Rhu. That said, for next year's registration, you can still time to move house

But I heard that to be eligible according to home address, must live at the address at least 30 months before registration. Is that correct?

My child is a Singapore citizen. We are not really interested in Stamford and I think getting into Stamford would still be easy in case HGS does not work out since Stamford has enough spaces even at Phase 2CS. So is HGS an unrealistic/too ambitious choice? Which other schools should I be considering then keeping in mind my requirements? Schools that are traditionally very strong in academics or offer higher MTL or traditional Chinese culture are not a priority for us.

Hi! I'm new to KiasuParents and I also have a dragon daughter (my only child) born in June 2012 (SPR citizen), looking to register in 2018, 2C phase for the 2019 intake. I'm pretty confused by this whole process and don't know where to start looking. Please please help! So stressed already. Unfortunately my home location has NO Primary schools within the 2km radius!!!


We live in Tanjong Rhu and my first choice is Haig Girls' School. Is that a realistic choice? Can anyone guide me about which schools I should possibly be looking at? Both my husband and I did not study in Singapore. I'm looking for a school that offers excellent extra curriculars like music, dance, visual and performing arts as well as sports and athletics. We are looking for an environment that supports holistic development and not too academically stressful. Please advise.
