Hi there, I am a FTWM…3kids, no maid. After 2yrs of maidless, I am still hanging on for reasons like getting the kids to b ‘responsible for themselves’ and of cos my treasured privacy, the reluctance to subject myself to the moods of all pride-full maids is another reason!

Frankly, I can understand the reliance mentality…getting the maid to do all the chores, do marketing n just dump all sorting to the maid… wake up from bed n just need to get myself ready, sneaking out to midnight Starbucks coffee break wif hubby. The numerous of chores waiting to b done is also another factor, never ending washing n folding, 2 hrs from cooking to final cleaning up.
My 2 older kids r going P1 while youngest is K2 next yr. They were abt 4.5yrs old n 3yrs old when the maid quit. Looking back, I do not think it is easy to cope wout maid if they were even younger. Imagine kids being at a age when they r still dependent on you, having tons of hsework waiting, limited quality individual coaching time, hubby not helping, rushing to n fro work n of cos work related stress n also imagine tt the TV become baby sitter while you r scrubbing the toilet… all these struggles all on you alone…hv been thru, still biting thru my teeth n telling myself to give more time to the kids n hopefully they r independent when it come to school work!

Yes, can any kind mummy share their experience in finding for a "decent" after school care near ACS Junior?

Went to Kiddiewinkie at Cairnhill CC, fee is at $450. But environment is not so ideal… abt 3 classroom size classes and no nap plus cooking is at a pantry size corner in the same premise.
