Hi guys, my girl got in this year in P1 and I would just like to say so far she is enjoying her schooling. The teachers are good, they update the student handbook almost daily, the school has Koobits for students and they seem to have accommodated the P1s well, starting slow and now I can see she has some amount of homework.

Just to post it out, the Principal did recently update that the construction of the original campus on Mount Sophie (Selegie area) is delayed by one more year, meaning they expect to start there in Jan 2025. So next year it will still be at MacPherson holding school.

So happy new year to all, 2022 has begun, I am a parent with a K2 girl and I am planning to apply for her in SMPS in the P1 exercise this year. We have no affiliations so will be be in phase 2C (2km SC), which I think we can get her in. I know in 2023 the school will still be at MacPherson, so most likely we will go for a school bus option in P1. I was a former student at St. Andrew’s, so I guess I am familiar with the school culture and I think it should be a good fit for my girl. Any other parents planning or considering to apply SMPS this year?

For those with children currently in the school, I would like to ask:
      1. How is the academic drive (is it a pressure cooker, each student developed at their own pace or laissez faire)?
      2. There seems to be relatively few CCAs, does it mean each of the CCAs have many members?
      3. I have read in these forums the teachers are quite concerned about their students, so am I right to say SMPS has a caring school environment?

      Thanks in advance.
