Visiting Melbourne on the 3rd week of June Holiday. Planning on a Day trip to Mt Buller. Any day tour to recommend?

My daughter never ski before, is it necessary to enroll her for a half day ski lesson? Since we will be there for only one day, I am afraid that we might not have enough time.
