I have a qn on school posting, wonder whether anyone can help.


If Child A and Child B have the same t-score and the t-score is the cut-off for School X, which left with one vacancy. If Child A choose School X as 2nd choice (she did not get into 1st choice) and Child B choose School X as 1st choice, will the ranking of the choice affect the chance of Child A getting into School X? Or it will be base on balloting at this stage?

t scores comes with many, many decimals points behind. balloting is very unlikely. the child with the absolute higher score will get into school X.

anyone has insight on how PSLE marking is conducted? just curious haha perhaps ST should write an article on this .... provide some interesting snippets.


1. i assume teachers will not mark their own schools' papers?
2. only p6 teachers are involved?
3. each paper is marked by 2 teachers?

I only know you can request for a re-mark if you feel the grade is way below expectation. $50 per subject. Not sure if you need a supporting letter from form teacher/principal though.

Because the timing ds got was 4.30pm. Didn't expect it to start so late in the day. There was no info in the email on the duration. Wondering how long it will take, and it's very far from us at Republic Poly, so need to gauge where me and other kids will need to go in the meantime he is there.

There are some info on GAT website. Including briefing and instructions, the entire duration is 1hr. Watches are not permitted in the exam room.

Yes, 5i is the top class, but followed closely by 5H. DS knows of a kid in 5H which has just 1 mark less than another student in 5I.
