There are 2 questions. 1st question is how old is John’s mother? I got the answer (4k-3). But I am stuck at question 2. Answer given on answer sheet is 2k years time. I have no idea how to get it.

Tq again for your step by step working. I will workout later as I am going out now. But I have 1 more question. I tried drawing the model few times but failed. I am very weak at drawing models. Can you please help with the model. I think I can figure out once I have the correct model.
Shop A and shop B had a total of 10400 packets of flour at first. Both shops sold 3/5 of their packets of flour. Shop B then had 520 more packets of flour than shop A. How many packets of flour did shop B have at first? Tq. -
