My daughter is taking her pianoo course in Christopher music school. The beginner's fee is S$63 per month. I choose a China piano teacher for her, and she play quite well since these 3 over month.
Heard from friends, that it's difficult to enter Nafa piano course, and it's course course fee is also quite high, S$ 290 per month.
I want to know, which is the best local piano school? Nafa, Yamaha, or Christopher...

RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers
Just check Nafa’s gift piano course a few days ago, the course fee is very high compare to other music school. The beginning’s lesson is S$289 per month.
My daughter is attending the piano course in Christopher music school, the fee is just S$63 per month for the beginner. The teacher is good, and she plays quite good.
Who knows the difference of NAFA’s piano course from other schools? -
Which is better, same-sex or mixed school?
Original title: Which is better, girls school or mixed school?
I have a daughter who will be in P1 2009. I'm wondering whether to put her in a girls school or mixed school?
Hope can get some good suggestion from Kiasu parents. -

Chief,OK... called them up and talked to a very nice lady. According to her, CHIJ (Kellock) has been having 100% overall PSLE passes \"for the longest time now\", and that their quality passes have been consistently above the national averages. This information will be on their website soon.
Open house 19 July in the evening. Go down to take a look if you are interested.
you are so kindly....Really appreciate you very much.... -
RE: [Bukit Merah] Primary Schools
yeah, I’m trying to find the records, but it seems difficult to find out it.
I’m facing the choice, CHIJ (kellock) or Radin Mas primary school.
The Dean of Radin Mas was transferred from Rulang Primary school 2 years ago, and the PSLE result is steadly increase in these 2 years.
I really want to the performance of CHIJ (kellock) in these 2 years.
All parents here got any ideas on it? Your information is very important. -
RE: All About Singapore Birth Rates

Thank you for your analysis.Based on my analysis, getting into ZhangDe in Phase 2C should not be any balloting for your case.
If you are targeting CHIJ (Kellock) or Radin Mas in phase 2C, very likely you would end up in balloting scenario. CHIJ only have 200 places where Radin Mas have 270.
That is just my observation, hope you are not being offended.
Anyway I'm also preparing for 2010 intake. Radin Mas & Zhang De also in my consideration list.
I'm living within 1 km from both Radin Mas and CHIJ (Kellock). Base on last 2 years balloting result, there will be no balloting for <1 km distance.
The main issue for me is which school is much suitable for my daughter. I know CHIJ (kellock) is strong in English, maths, and science, whereas I don't know how Ras Mas work in their subject, what is Radin Mas' strong item. Pls give me some points. -

RE: [Bukit Merah] Primary Schools
ChiefKiasu:
Thanks a lot.Firstly, you have chosen the 3 most popular schools in Bukit Merah. Radin Mas and CHIJ (Kellock) are more established and have proven academic records. Radin Mas has had a stellar year in PSLE last year with over 99% overall passes. Zhangde is newer and has been steadily improving in its PSLE results every year.
Start with this http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bukit-merah and click through to each school to get the details about the school. We have been collecting whatever PSLE results we can get from the schools' websites.
Who knows how the school performance of each subject is? I really want to know, so can make a better choice for my daughter.
