For Yr1 2013, there are 15 classes altogether.

1.01-1.09 are express classes and 1.10-1.15 are IP classes.

1.10 and 1.11 are the SBGE (school based gifted education) classes.

    • RE: PSLE 2013 - Results Discussion

All tests and exams are not 100% accurate.

Thus, there are many other tests out there, GEP, PSLE, O levels and A levels where the entire cohort takes the same national exams/tests.
My take is that the geppers ought to be also subjected to the same entry requirements as the mainstreamers for S1 postings and EESIS awards.

I have a child( a mainstreamer) who did well enough in the PSLE to be posted to an SBGE class in secondary school.
Majority of his classmates are geppers (psle scores from 24x-27x), with some mainstreamers with scores in excess of 26x.
However, the geppers with PSLE scores below 255 are not performing in the class, sometimes I wonder why more deserving mainstreamers with much better scores are deprived of a chance to be in the SBGE class and having their abililities stretched and these children have also done much much better in all the papers in secondary school compared to the geppers.

Maybe , it is time to review the GEP system and the EESIS COP.
