This year PSLE math is like a compettion between the setters and the P6 students.

Even an adult take more than 10mins to solve some of the questions.

      you win, setters.

      A* goes to you.

I was asking around to find out if anyone panicked during the Maths exam, and usual responses were that some cried and some were angry, but the most incredible thing I heard was that there were students who fainted because of the Maths exam. Is it true? šŸ˜›

Really? They actually fainted? I didn't know! None of my class fainted... I think no one in my school did.

There are? Does that mean I can't use Singlish here? People won't understand? Not that I use a lot of it anyway...

      Hi Cutebabys!

Use whatever you want, as long as we understand. But, for the sake of your education/future, it is, of course, better for you to speak English rather than Singlish. šŸ˜‰ Make use of this site to practice your language, too! :celebrate:

*grins* Yeah well, I love English so it's no problem for me. I don't use much of it anyway... šŸ˜„

Umm.. maybe KiasuSg? I wanted to suggest something along the line \"Sgeans r Kiasu\", but, hey, there are non-Singaporeans lurking in this site, too. :siam:
Hi guys,

Don't feel bad about yourselves just because you thought the paper was hard or that your confidence has gone for a toss after this paper. Many students feel that way. Just focus on the challenges ahead (PSLE Science paper!) and you'll do fine. Good luck for tomorrow's paper everyone!

Thanks. I found it a bit difficult, the last question, but I felt it was quite fun doing it. šŸ˜„ And yes, I think we should concentrate on our Science and not brood over something we cannot change. It is partially like the saying: \"Let bygones be bygones\".

      Hi cutebabys,
The answer for last question is 68, a boy told me, and the working he had done was using ratios. And most people did put 68, so I'm sure that is the correct answer.

GOOD LUCK FOR SCIENCE PAPER TODAY! :D
Thanks! šŸ™‚ And yes, it is 68, I asked many people. Quite a few did guess-and-check, I have no idea how they do it, I tried myself.

      Can students post here too?

Well, cutebabys, technically, you won't be a \"student of NYPS\" by the end of this year...

Of course you are free to post in any of the Kiasu Forums... except for buds' adult-themed threads. Don't worry... you are not missing anything in those threads... yet.

Well, yeah, that's true... And...haha, I don't think I want to look at those too, whatever they are.

It's so good to have another child here.

With more and more \"children\" joining the KSP.com, perhaps we can think of a \"re-branding\" exercise for this site? šŸ˜‰

Rebrand to what? KiasuParentsnKids? KidsRKiasu? or KiasuRUs?

Welcome cutebabys! Whatcha gonna do when PSLE ends in a couple of days' time?

Well, I'm not too sure. I think I'll be going out with my friends quite a bit, won't be with all of them next year...

      Haha...KiasuRUs? *grins*

    • RE: 2009 GEP Screening And Selection

I'm not too sure where to ask this question, but since this is about GEP I shall ask it here:

What is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophia_Blackmore_Class like? Is it very similar to the GEP? 'Cos I got into SBC Sec 1 by DSA. All I have to do is get 200+.

      Muffins:
      Hi,

      The answer is 100 minutes.
After seeing this question at a website, I have come up with the working:
      From 2.00 to 4.30, it is 150 minutes/2.5 hours
So, 150 minutes divided by 6 (number of boys) = 25 minutes
25 minutes X 4 (number of boys playing at any 1 time) = 100 minutes

      Hope I helped! šŸ˜„
Yes, that's what I put too. I'm quite sure it's correct.
