Available vacancies in Phase 2B: 20
      Number of applicants:38
      Balloting: Yes

Balloting will be conducted for Singapore Citizen children residing within 1km of the school. If your application is unsuccessful, you can register again in your next eligible phase.

Can I ask a silly question does that mean all 38 are SC applied < 1km? Or does that include EVERY applicant?

Secondly, if 38 includes EVERY applicant, and if 24 are SC < 1km, only 24 will be asked to ballot correct?

All is SC living within 1km.

If 24 sc within 1km all will go in, ballet for 1-2km or 2km (depends on how many living 1-2km)

How can 24 SCs go in when there are only 20 vacancies?

If there are only 24 SCs < 1 km, only these 24 will go through balloting.[/quote]Pity that we are not given the breakdown in SC < 1km, SC 1km to 2km, SC > 2km for us to understand the likelihood of our kid can enter a primary school.

Or is there any source we can try to find the breakdown?

    • RE: Anglo Chinese Family of Schools

Any reason as to why ACJS getting more popular? I’ve always heard that ACSP is the better primary of the both. Further, the vicinity of ACSP is more densely populated with condos vs ACJS’s area. Besides, anecdotally quite a number of my friends are also biased towards ACSP…

Thanks for your quick response. So I guess the odds of getting my kid into the school is relatively high since I stay within 1 km.

Hi all, apologies if I am asking a silly question. I’ve got a son and am looking at my options. If I stay within 1km of ACSJ and am also a member of the methodist church. What are my odds in securing my kid in the school?
