    • RE: * Tampines Meridian JC (TMJC)

I would say that MJC is mid-tier, but it is definitely adding pressure to nearby \"better\" colleges like tjc and vjc. I heard that the teachers are more nurturing than the top tier colleges and that's why their A level results have been steadily improving these past few years.

      I would say you've made a good choice! šŸ™‚

    • RE: Is PSLE score 232 good enough for VJC Integrated Programme?

Actually the VJC Integrated Programme (VIP in short) application has 2 broad stages. First, your son will send in a form, and he will be required to sit for a test. If he gets through this round, he will be called up for an interview with the teachers.

I do not think that his PSLE score will affect his chances to a great extent, but do be aware that many of the successful applicants are top students from schools in the east, mainly VS, Cedar Girls', TKGS. So if he really wants to get into VIP, he must have good results from his current sec school. Recommendation letters from his current school will also be beneficial in his application, so if his teachers are able to provide a strong testimony, his chances are definitely higher šŸ™‚

Good luck with your son's application!
