DH is an old boy of PHPPS and we are thinking of enrolling DD under Phase 2A2 this year.

Some concerns we have:
1. We are staying at Taman Jurong (near Lakeside), is quite far away from school. Since we don’t drive, we are probably going to engage either school bus, carpool etc for DD to go school. Any parents who are living far away from school has any advice to share? We are concern that the long travelling time might be taxing for DD. And also, any parents have tried schoolber before?

2. Understand that the school offers HCL in P1. DD’s command of Chinese is average, she speaks well but she can’t write very well yet. Am also concern if she can cope with HCL in school.

3. Lastly, this might sound like a silly or stupid question. Do the parents think that there are a lot of materialistic comparison among students in PHPPS?

Just a piece of information to share:
I just called up the school and they mentioned they have just started an alumni association this year.
Therefore from 2018 enrollment onwards, there will be Phase 2A1 from PHPPS too.

Am currently doing my PV in Shuqun for this year P1 registration.
Would like to know how you feel about the school, teachers in general? Does the school focus on character-building of the students too ?
I heard briefly from one of the mummy that the school work in SQ is quite heavy compare to other school. Can the kids cope with all the homework ?
