RE: ADVICE ON JC1 SURVIVAL
Hey all! I'm back and pretty surprised this thread is still active! A levels had started and this year's chem p2 is a bit weird. The qns are not the usual kind but doable. Except for the planning that im not confident in, and some parts in qns 3.
How did you guys feel about the chem paper?

RE: ADVICE ON JC1 SURVIVAL
Hi everyone, Im a student in pjc jc 1 this year, based on my seniors experience in jcs, i have heard that failing subjects and getting U or S grade is quite common, and that jc curriculum is really tough, so other than consistant work, is there any other factors that is a must to score well (A and B) in JC1?
Another thing is that since im from science course do you think H1 geography is better or H1 econs? I took elct geog back in sec sch. My subj combi would be either bcmg or bcme. Thanks!

RE: * Raffles Institution (RI) - Year 5-6
mummyjoyce:
6 is very high if you are aiming for RI jc. There are many people with very strong ccas and even talents that are also appealing there. With 6 points, you just made it to acjc, and u have the highest score there. Why are you so ambitious? Going there does not guarantee all As in A level, just study hard in any jc and you can score as. Ps you need at least 3 to get into Ri jc.Hi,
Help needed here. My DD has a L1R5 of 6; anyone things that I have chance to appeal with CCA (she is strong) after JAE posting?
Please guide me along here as this is my 1st time and not familiar what I can do about it. -

Whatever JC you are in, work hard, very hard and you can get all A's in the A levels. Good JCs does not guarantee your results, but is a good motivation for studying hard.Duan1973:
She is from Fairfield Methodist school, higher Chinese A1, there is no doubt 6 points after bonus point, ACJC science is her No.1 choice, Appeal through CCA still waiting for result
I see. My DS with same score net 6, was lucky then. He was posted to ACJC Science. We placed ACJC Arts as 2nd choice just in case. I heard students can choose any subject combi in ACJC regardless which stream they are in.
My DS knows of a couple of ACJC students awaiting their appeal outcome to ACSI. All the best to your dd's appeal.

RE: Networking Group - JCs General
What time do we need to report to jc? The reporting date is 2 feb or 30 jan? What can we expct when we go there? Do we need to bring o level results? Is it ok to bring parents there? Or will it be awkward to bring parents there(if there are no other parents)
