    • Mychild have tutors for several subj but still strugle

Despite having what seem to us to be pretty good tutors my children are still struggling with some subjects. They both started secondary school in the tops sets but in the last year or so they seem to be struggling especially in maths and sciences. We have changed tutors, tried withdrawing privileges and offering incentives but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone any idea?

    • RE: Can someone pls help to answer these questions???

Thanks for the tips Lance G King I think they are very useful and I could probably benefit from using some of them myself. But there is one tip I am not quite sure I understand, what exactly do you mean by:

      6) Help them to develop the habit of delayed gratification, having their pleasures but only when all the work is finished

    • RE: Boys and girls learn differently

I don’t think many experts make those sorts of distinctions anymore Dragonfly Sg, according to the statistics from most developed countries girls are out performing boys in just about every subject these days including the traditional male bastions of Math and Physics. It seems the barriers in the past were more to do with culture than learning styles or affinities for particular subjects.
