    • RE: Will you allow this teacher to teach your child?

      Doggie Bone:
I have a question for the forum:

You have a female private tutor who has been teaching your child and you later discovered that she is a lesbian.

Would you allow this teacher to continue teaching your child?
Keep the room door opened and interact with the teacher often to make sure she has a sound mind. lesbian or not.

    • RE: Changes In Children

Sounds like to me these are symptoms of anxiety issues. At this age, she faces a lot of challenges which may seem trivial to us. Instead of being frustrated with her behavior, give her a chance to tell you what is bothering her.

Perhaps you can bring her to a nice place and give her the time and place to speak, without interrupting.
Even if you may not be able to solve all her problems, listening to her gives her a great sense of acceptance.
This makes a big difference to her. It may even take away some of the anxiety and you will see the transformation in her behavior.
      Do this regularly.

    • RE: All About Handwriting

As a mum and ex sch teacher, my observation and teaching experiences have led me to think that kids go through stages of development in terms of handwriting. As their experiences and personalities change, so do their handwriting habits.

I believe that handwriting is not a skill we should get caught up with but rather their daily commitment to work and our daily commitment to shaping their learning experiences.
Just like driving which is an extension of your limbs, your handwriting is a reflection of your character. If we model to them the desirable practices : patience, sense of urgency, motivation, commitment, etc, their attitude towards work changes and the handwriting will follow!
