Wa never expect to find Erhu related stuff in this forum... really interesting
i am using a $480 erhu since 1997 i think and using it mostly to entertain my kids now.
Most of the erhu now are highly \"mark up\" by the seller to make a cut and do visit more shop to make comparison

RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers
Any parents in Punggol area can recommend a good music appreciation school for a pre-school kid. My girl is turning 3 in Sep this year.

RE: All About Erhu
Hi
I am been expose to erhu and Chinese orchestral music since the age of 13.
My advice to parents here is not to be overly concern with the price of the erhu and be overly concern about grading , music should be a form of enjoyment and its helps in developing the coordination and maybe speed reading in some ways. I still have my $450 erhu with me since 2008 and it is still serving me well , even though I am not performing in concert halls now.
Now my erhu is mostly use to play children songs for my 2.5 years old girl in her sing-along session.
I have seen too many instructors trying to mark up the price of the erhu to market it as a premium instrument. The tone quality will also depends largely on the skill of the player, that is the beauty of all bow string instrument be it erhu ,violin , cello.
