Is there any common book for maths eng and sci for sec 1 ip/ib/o levels.. i am very new to sec 1.. any help on recommendation of books is appreciated. Ds is bored to death.. thx

As far as I know, there are no books specially for IP. I don't know about IB, and most of the textbooks sold at Popular will be leading to 'O' levels. There are several approved books for each subject (except MT), and every school will make its own decision which to use. My daughter is in Yr 2 IP and the teachers mainly teach from their own materials and the books (mixture of sec 1/2/3 books, but selectively used) are just a backup. If your son is interested in reading ahead, you can just ask him to borrow any sec school books to get an idea of what lies ahead. It may be better to just ask him to read up on his interests and not worry about next year's schoolwork as that will be covered next year. Or get him to learn some new skill/sport/craft/instrument. There are lots of activities to be involved in in sec school, and having some non-academic skills is always a good thing.

Ds says for paper 2 qc18, the ans he got was 18. But while writing in the space he put 13. Hecalso underlined the number 18. He says transfer error. Will marks be deducted… if yes, how many then…
