      Fairy Godmother:

I really agreed one parent's comment on elite school. Can go in is one thing, can cope is another thing. But I would say if I wan to choose, I rather not choose a SAP school cos knowing the younger generation had no interest in Chinese at all. U put them there, is to lose further confidence. Like Mee Toh also got higher Chinese for P1, I certainly know my boy who speak only English will be out. But of course there are still children who fare well in higher Chinese. Unlike mine, sad to say is still better to try place like Edgefield with gd academics result proven or even upcoming Horizon.

. eh....... just fyi it higher Chinese for Horizon too!

Wow cannot tahan MOE, I rather higher English ...

Is obvious that many parents are too pressure to go for balloting. Like Mee Toh and Rivervale Pri, I heard some even enrolled in other school without ballot but withdraw again. But was filled up by other waiting list immediately. Maybe they have a second thought.

Hi, sry to side track abit. Anyone knows if Mee Toh is associated with any clans?

      Thanks!
I also confuse whether it is associated to Leong San See Temple or Fou Guang Shan Temple? And does they like Singapore Buddhist Federation where you can join as member for under phase 2b to Maha Bohdi School. Maybe someone can enlighten?

I had alrdy secured my child, the school of my choice. I’m just worrying and pity for those disappointed parents. Nothing is fair in this world, even myself was just lucky to be a former student of that school. So let’s hope watever it is, watever colour of IC ones is holding, let’s pledge and serve Singapore, your truly and only country!

No offend but of course as a loyal and faithful Singaporean. We thought that we will be well taken care of in terms of any privileges comes first. If Singapore is really good to PR, why aren’t they thinking of converting themselves into Singapore citizen. Singapore government should look into grooming it’s own citizen first. Yes, PR and foreigners have talents too but can government assure that they will stay here and serve our nation forever.

Thanks larkspur… Looks like we share the same thought! So should you discover any amiss after listening to your child, one should not be afraid to step out and raise out to the school. Dun treat it as small issue, as they are not at the age servicing army nor during our times… Ok let’s close it here and hopefully such popular school can maintain up to it’s standard otherwise disappoint so many PV, Grassroots members and other clan especially their efforts putting in…

Yes, I agree with all comments above. Most important, pupil should speak up for himself or herself. Scolding are ok but they should not set bad examples to the children. Who will expect their child to come back and apply this words immediately. I used to get such scolding too from my school, my uneducated mum went straight to the school. And told the teacher off that you will cause a bad image and also bad childhood to my child. Tis will cause ur children to lose confidence sooner or later… Worst still, probia of going to school!
