Hi all,
I am some questions as first time travelling to cold places with hb and kid
1. I read u guys mentioning about ht inner wear - Is heattech inner wear the same as heattech t-shirt? I suppose no? But are there heattech inner wear for kids?
2. Some of you mention ht may not be able to keep warm at night and should get proper thermal wear. Any recommendation to which shop and what material? Issit wool?
3. For outer winter jacket- any recommendation to shop and material? I heard even for goose feathers also different kinds, need to see the weight as some light ones are not suitable for cold temperatures.
I don’t think the uniqlo lightweight jackets would be able to take cold?
Thanks a lot for your advice!

RE: Winter Clothes
Hi,
May I know what’s the difference between heattech thermal wear and 3 layered thermal wear?
And is heattech thermal wear also considered inner wear ie. We should wear it in the most inner layer then wear other layers on top of it?
For jackets- what kind is suitable eg. How many % wool? Polyester? Thanks!! -

RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
Hi,
I am due to register primary 1 for my child this July. As I am in phase 2c, I noted there are 3 days for registration. Can we just go any of these 3 days as in the end, if balloting is required, it will not be on a first come first serve right? And balloting happens only after 1 aug?
Also, do you know how long is the registration? We just fill up form and submit? Or need to queue very long? Thanks! -

RE: Travel: China - Hong Kong
Hi, I m new to this website and would like some advice as its gg to be my first trip with my son. We intend to go 3 days 2 nights at Disneyland hotel.
1. Do you know if weather in HK is v hot in mid June as compared to early June?
2. Is it advisable to book air tic SQ and accommodation myself online than through a travel agency?
3. Is character dining at Enchanted restaurant available daily?
4 is it easy to travel by train from Disneyland hotel to other parts of HK say for dinner or 2-3 hours shopping?
I tried emailing the hotel but they didn’t really answe my questions then just kept giving me the link to their website and asking me whether I’m taking up the early bird offer.
Really hope someone can help me here. Thanks thanks. -
RE: Poi Ching
Hi all,
I am new to Kiasuparents.com and also very new to what to look out for when enrolling our kids in primary school. I would like to check with existing parents of kids in poi Ching, much talk has been on about it having very high level of Chinese, how about the standard for other subjects?
Also, how is the school environment and the teachers like?
Any advice or sharing will be helpful- thanks! -

RE: [Tampines] Primary Schools
Hi kiasumaster,
Thanks so much for your reply- I’ve gained more knowledge now. So you mean that if I use my parents address to enrol, it is still considered 1-2km range even though it is physically within 1km? In this case, do you know if i still need to change the IC address? If not, how do I use my parents address to enrol?
And it seems like for st Hilda, the 1-2 km is totally no chance already…
Poi Ching standard of Chinese is high… Do anyone know the standard of their other subjects? Is it just a popular school becoz of its Chinese? I also heard that its PSLE score is below national average?
