We brush our teeth and not just one tooth, then why is it called toothbrush and not teethbrush?

RE: Home leave : only work for 10 mths
Not sure if you can help her to \"safe-keep\" 1 month's pay until she returns? Also not sure if employer can co-share airfare first then upon return, reimburse full fare to her? fren's maid also said her dad dying, then no news at all after gone back to her country. The maid even self-help with fren's jewelry, cash and the more expensive household stuff.
btw, heard from maid that the indo agents taught all their maids that they are \"free\" to go back to their country after their loan complete. (not sure if it's true for all indo agents) probably that's how they generate more income and higher salary. -
RE: All About Full-Time Maids
concern_mum,
Pretend nothing is happening while you map out your steps first:
1) lock all valuables and money, or put into those safes in deposit boxes. when you sleep, keep ur wallet/bag in ur room.
2) keep her passport and workpermit elsewhere first, just in case.
3) make sure your arrangement for alternative care for kids is taken care after maid is gone. eg. apply leave/get help from parents etc
4) don't tell the kids, you never know what kids will blurt out
5) text and discuss with ur hubby on what to do too
6) make police report
7) call agent, seek advise, buy tickets send her off (if ur agent can be trusted and depends on what the police advise?)
Don't forget to check her bags when she leaves.
just some steps that i can think if i am in your shoes. all the best! :xedfingers: -

Yes and she like imitating how I talk to my children.... So annoyed with her.[/quote]My current helper doesn't discipline my child. Anything she saw that my child misbehaves, she will report to me and I will discipline my child myself. Already told her since day 1. Previous helper tried to be the \"fortress\" when I discipline my child and I told her not to. Don't like it.
Are you at home with your children most of the time?POA Teacher:

my girl also had the jab when young, but i still hope she doesnt' catch it. By this week, it will be 14 days of rest for helper and 14 days incubation period over for my girl too.
With the jab, it really helps a lot. My kids and I had the jab and the chickenpox experience was mild...but hubby was badly hit.dokomo:
sigh.. my helper is down with chicken pox! she been resting at my home for about a week already. I had to change my arrangement in the caring of my girl. (thank God is school holidays now)
if you willing and know helper is staying long with you , try to vaccine her (and family members) against chicken pox. really hard to say when and who can get it. :xedfingers:

RE: Thermal pot
Hi,
tried to “bake” bread in my thermal pot, it looks more like “bao” and very dense, not the fluffy type (or mayb I did not knead long enuf?) that i like. anyone knows if thermal pot can achieve the fluffy type? or only oven can?
btw, someone in this thread mentioned that I can find the steps in “baking” bread with thermal pot in the bread thread. But I can’t find it? anyone can point me to it? TQ! -

RE: Living Sanctuary Kindergarten
Cmeilim, agree with sembgal, you should just call the school and check, put ur kid on waiting list. Who knows they may just call you should there be a vacancy. My nephew got in during mid k1. LSK is a great school. Can see the passion in the principal n teachers.
